Shaded Heart

Autumn sky reveals
that crisp red reality
of life lost in love.

There is no nectar
nor blooming flower as sweet
as the belle I love.

In love, we embrace
closely as the cobalt moon
grasps the twilight sky.

like honey; her twisting tongue
unravels my soul.

Seas cannot contain
nor can aspen mountains thwart
